The first national event to rise awareness about climate change and older people was held on 26 March in York. The event was attended by over 60 organisations and individuals interested in over 50s issues.
The workshop was chaired by Liz Barclay, BBC Radio 4 Presenter of You and Yours and was addressed by a number of influential speakers.
The participants discussed the key issues in a break-out session and gained consensus on a list of 20-30 recommendations that need to be taken forward to achieve change.
These recommendations will be published in the workshop report in late April/early May and will be sent to key policy makers. Powerpoint presentation will be available soon.
